What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
In the process of making my opening sequence I have learnt a lot about how to use the camera. Considering I have never worked with an equipment of that size before learning how to use it and it's function has been fantastic and a great experience. The thing that interested me about the camera is the channel switches. Depending on which channel you're on gives you different options. For example, if you're on channel 2 you can't record the sound from the camera any more because it's a channel for an external microphone or device to be connected to. This is something that me and my group forgot to do at the time we was recording. We put the camera on channel 2 and since we wasn't using any external plug-ins there was no sound at all, and we figured after playing back on the Macs.
This was frustrating because now we had footage that we liked but no sound in picking up books, walking and painting putting us in a disadvantage.
Another essential aspect I learnt from the camera and what needs to be noticed at all times are the mis-en-scene and lighting. You have to take note of the right lightning and colour scheme and make sure for different scenes that everything is perfect because it reflects back on the storyline, script and what's needed to be said at that time to make sure everything is linking together and making sense.
